Seit mehr als vierzig Jahren prägt das Unilever-Hochhaus am Dammtorwall das Stadtbild Hamburgs. Hinter der denkmalgeschützten Fassade fand eine der anspruchvollsten Revitalisierungen Hamburgs statt. Das nachhaltige Klima- und Energiekonzept ist dabei ebenso wegweisend wie die zeitlose Architektur.
Neben dem Hochhaus entsteht ein Neubau mit Büroflächen, Wohnungen und einem Hotel. Zusammen bilden sie das EMPORIO – das neue Quartier in der Hamburger Innenstadt.
Wir begleiteten das Projekt vom ersten Tag an und waren bei allen wichtigen Ereignissen dabei. Zum Projektbeginn produzierten wir den Blick in die Zukunft, dann waren wir regelmäßig auf der Baustelle zu Gast. Das Ergebnis ist eine der umfassendsten filmischen Dokumentationen eines Bauprozesses in Deutschland.
For more than forty years, the Unilever high-rise on Dammtorwall has shaped Hamburg's cityscape. Behind its listed façade, one of Hamburg's most demanding revitalization projects took place. The sustainable climate and energy concept is just as pioneering as the timeless architecture.
Next to the high-rise, a new building with office space, apartments and a hotel is being built. Together they form EMPORIO – the new quarter in Hamburg's city centre.
We accompanied the project from day one and were present at every major milestone. At the outset we produced a look into the future, then became regular guests on the construction site. The result is one of the most comprehensive film documentations of a construction process in Germany.
